Pulverization / Full Depth Reclamation / Stabilization
No fine print or hidden costs.
Full depth reclamation is very green. Participating in the pulverization/full depth reclamation process is a very sound business decision both financially and environmentally! By pulverizing, you can turn any existing asphalt surface into a new foundation. Sommerset Paving is able to turn your broken or badly cracked parking lot into a reusable, recyclable, bituminous, aggregate base through a pulverization/ reclamation process.
An additional benefit is that your new asphalt construction will be stronger. The stabilization process turns your unsafe, unstable ground into a hard base by using a unique process of mixing together lime and water which is then pulverized and mixed in with your pre-existing ground. Also, parking lots that have large slope changes can be remedied by pulverizing the area, undercutting the area or installing more material, and re-grading the lot to create proper drainage. The pulverized asphalt is reused as foundation material. A new layer of asphalt is paved once the elevations are correct. Not only is the pulverization/full depth reclamation and stabilization process excellent for our environment, it also dramatically decreases the excavation, material and hauling costs.
This process gives you a new parking lot at 1/3rd to ½ the price of an old fashioned tear out and replacement that will last 20+ years with proper maintenance.
Pulverization/reclamation can be used for many things besides parking lots. It's often used for major roadway projects, soil stabilization and amendment jobs, rehabbing existing projects, grade change elevations in existing asphalt installations, walkway paths through parks and golf courses.
